The world finally gets to see Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are finally going to touch gloves. Mayweather announced the two will unify their welterweight world titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2.

Mayweather released the following message:

What the world has been waiting for has arrived. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. I promised the fans we would get this done, and we did. We will make history on May 2nd. Don’t miss it! This is the signed contract from both fighters.

Better late than never, right?

The two biggest boxers of their era have managed to dance around each other for the better part of five years, amid posturing and jawing. It seemed that 2010 would be the year an undefeated Mayweather would take on who most considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world in Pacquiao. That fight never happened.
